Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Scrimfolio Media Pty Ltd collects when you use scrimfolio.com, why we collect it, and the choices and rights you have. Last updated: January 2026.

Who we are

Scrimfolio is operated by Scrimfolio Media Pty Ltd, Level 27, 101 Collins Street, Melbourne VIC 3000, Australia. For any privacy question you can reach us at [email protected]. We are the data controller responsible for your information on this website.

Information we collect

We keep data collection to a minimum. We do not require accounts, and we do not knowingly collect special-category or financial data. Depending on your consent choices we may process:

  • Essential technical data — basic server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) needed to deliver the site securely and prevent abuse.
  • Analytics data — anonymised usage statistics (such as page views and approximate region), only if you consent to analytics cookies.
  • Advertising data — identifiers used for Google Ads conversion measurement and remarketing, only if you consent to advertising cookies.
  • Contact data — if you email us, we process the content of your message and your email address to respond.

Consent and Google Consent Mode

Before any analytics or advertising tags load, we set Google Consent Mode to a denied-by-default state. This means non-essential scripts do not run until you make a choice in our cookie banner. You can accept all, reject non-essential cookies, or customise your choices, and we store that decision in your browser so we do not ask again. You can change your mind at any time by clearing the scrimfolio_consent_v1 value in your browser storage, which will bring the banner back.

Legal bases

Where EU/UK data-protection law applies, we rely on your consent for analytics and advertising processing, and on our legitimate interest in running a secure website for essential technical data. Where Australian Privacy Principles apply, we handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Sharing your data

We do not sell your personal information. Where you consent, limited data is shared with Google (as an analytics and advertising provider) strictly to provide those services. These providers act under their own privacy terms and may process data outside Australia; we rely on their contractual and legal safeguards for any such transfers.

Retention

Server logs are retained only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting. Analytics and advertising data follow the retention periods of the relevant provider. Emails you send us are kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry.

Your rights

Subject to the law that applies to you, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request correction or deletion, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority — in Australia, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
